Our lives are so caught up in the everyday. The routine. The schedules. The commitments. The targets. The collection. Making payments. Sending kids to school. So many shackles. In all this we definitely forget about ourselves. Forget about the environment. Forget about the people we love. Forget about our friends. Forget about our emotions. Can we even feel each breath. Or each morsel of food that we ingest. Food that we earn for. And all we do is gobble it down.
We forget that everything in our lives needs attention. Needs nurturing. This thought led us here at ROADFOLK to bring focus on the idea of nurturing. To nurture. To grow with love and attention.
Last month our theme was Nature. And how mankind has clearly forgotten that it is nature that nurtures us. Nature gives us the space and strength to grow and become the best versions of ourselves. That is one of the reasons that a big focus for Team ROADFOLK is micro-forests.
Physical activity, exercise and being out in nature are so important for each of us. It is part of nurturing ourselves. Getting showered and dressed up can infuse new energy in our steps. Especially if we are experiencing lows. Mental health is even more important than physical health. So do not by any stretch ignore that. Retreats help a lot for that. Spend time with yourself. And you will get some amazing insights.
Then there is also the need for each of us to nurture our relationships. With our family. With our friends. With our spouses. With all the people who truly matter to each of us. We must not take them for granted.
Life really is just a plain and simple experiential journey. And we are here to experience all that it offers – joys, sorrows, ups and downs. Whatever life throws at us we have to be able to experience at its fullest. And whilst we are here we must nurture ourselves first, then the very planet that provides for us and then each and every relationship that matters to us.
This month too you shall hear about so much of the good work that is going on around us and that aims to nurture a better life for all around us.
We hope that you shall feel inspired and continue to nurture all that matters to you. Most of all nurture yourself, as only if you are in good shape will you be able to nurture others.
“Be the one who nurtures and builds. Be the one who has an understanding and a forgiving heart one who looks for the best in people. Leave people better than you found them.” ― Marvin J. Ashton
Best Wishes for the month ahead as you celebrate the victory of good over evil on the auspicious festival of Dussehra and as you prepare for the Festival of Lights – Diwali.
Much Love. God Bless!!
