Living It Up in The Land Down Under!

Mohit Gupta

When Caskie Stinnet said “I hate having my life disrupted by routine”, I felt that deeply. It is true. Routine is boring, it makes you predictable, mechanical and obvious. There should always be some zing to your days, whether at home, or while traversing.

This emotion brings me to The Land Down Under: diversity in every nook and cranny. There is so much life, buzz, excitement, culture, variation and happiness in Australia. We’ve all got a friend or family member that lives there! Sydney is a vibrant life: whether you live there, or you visit there. There’s always more to come back to, each time!

yacht -filled inlets, iconic landmarks, history to consume you, and beaches to keep you stunned, Sydney is the idyllic city to begin your Australian adventure. The capital of New South Wales and the largest city in Australia does not disappoint one bit. Spend evenings away at the harbourside with restaurants and cafes to choose from for a dinner or few drinks; the party boats are always at your beck and call too!

Choose from a visit to the awe-inspiring Sydney Opera House with a boat tour or two, or simply a daring morning climb on the Sydney Harbour Bridge; there’s always an adrenaline pumping avenue to get you started. My personal best from the bucket-list would be a sky-diving experience for sure. What better way to view an ocean city rather than from high above in the sky? But for those with a thirst for nature……… you guessed it right, Sydney provides for you too!

Visit the Blue Mountains for a drive (if they’re being brought back from the fires, of course!), the Sydney Harbor National Park or simply the Dunggir National Park – walks, treks and picnics await to soothe your green-hungry souls. But while you explore all that the land of roos has to offer, make sure you drop your bags down at the Palisade; a boutique hotel catering to all your needs with its rich heritage and history. In the olden days catering to maritime workers, and now to the discerning traveller in search for luxurious hospitality, the Palisade is where you want to be. Located at Millers Point, just beneath the Harbour Bridge, the hotel is perfectly located with Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House and the transport hub to eastern Sydney just 10 lovely minutes away.

All that’s in store for you to experience is meticulous attention to detail, a stylist’s touch, impressive hospitality, vintage bars to give you a contemporary vibe yet taking you back ages to experience the history of the town. Oh, also. 9 Rooms only. Yes, exclusivity at best for those that take privacy seriously. Well, when a property is lovingly restored to cater to someone like you and me, who can really say ‘no’?
