It is already the end of an extremely strange and tumultuous year. A year we would all love to put behind us. It nearly had the world stop still. And we are all still unsure about what lies ahead.
All of us at Roadfolk felt that in the midst of the gloom and doom we really need to find the moments to celebrate. So we decided to bring all our attention to CELEBRATION.
Since over nine months we have all been in survival mode. As a world population we are both frustrated and very lonely. We all need the rays of hope to cling on to. To pull us through in as best a shape as possible.
We need to focus on love and gratitude. We need to touch each other’s lives in very different ways. We truly need to connect.
We must rise above the fear whilst we learn to live with it. We need to celebrate each and every win. Big or small.
As we celebrate, as we express love and gratitude for all that we have, we shall drag the vibrations from the negative to the positive. I for one want to celebrate all the amazing people in my life. Celebrate the little daily wins. Really really sharpen my focus on them and drive away each and every negative thought that hovers around me.
If I am alive and kicking I want to grab every opportunity, every occasion to celebrate. Earlier this week, whilst changing bags, my wife found some money in the old bag she pulled out. Nothing much, around a thousand rupees. But for her it was a thrill. A moment to celebrate. A jig followed and there was an air celebration all around. It is really the little things that matter.
Perhaps against the grain, but I do feel that at every passing we must celebrate the life that was lived. Not mourn the passing. A tough and delicate subject and each of us will have our view on that. This is where I stand.
Here in India we have just had a very subdued celebration for Diwali, our time for family and dear friends. And perhaps will have a subdued Christmas too. But I definitely want to celebrate.
Last month my better half turned fifty and although we were unable to go to town about celebrating that, we did have a fun time with our closest family and friends. We made it a point to celebrate and all who were able to join were happy and excited that they were able to have fun and meet the closest in-person after all this time.
So what do we have in store for you this month? Our regular dose of better living ideas shall keep coming every Friday. Along with that I am very keen to showcase to you all the fabulous work being done by Neha Arora of Planetabled. She has dedicated her life and her work to bringing travel, fun and joy to the differently abled by curating journeys for them all over the world. I wish her all the success in this amazing pursuit of hers.
I am also reaching out friends from all over the world to get their view on Celebrating Life and we will be sharing their thoughts with you.
Wishing everyone a fun, joyful & happy Christmas and a fantastic 2021, albiet a little in advance. I pray that 2021 shall see us put this fear and the pandemic well behind us.
Off late I have been feeling that I am living as if holding my breath. Very tense. I just want to let go of that and start breathing again. CELEBRATE LIFE!!!
God Bless!!
